There are 75 billion blogs in Cyberspace. Only O-N-E is devoted entirely to trashy Filipino movies about the Vietnam War. Welcome to that blog!

German VHS covers
My FB buddy Tony Li in Germany is another hardcore collector of Filipino Vietnam War flicks and he's let me post his covers here so I'll try and add a bunch of cool German sleeves here. Thanks, Tony.
No, I hadn't seen that DVD box release! Thanks for the heads-up!
It looks great... and, uh, it's probably not so great. LOL. On Cduniverse's page it says the video label is called Asia Vision but when I checked the box on Amazon it say it's actually VideoAsia! Boo-hoo!
A couple of years back I inquired about the label on Cinehound and Linn Haynes said their releases are bootlegs. In fact these are thee worst bootlegger crooks! I have their "Tales of Voodoo" 10 film box set and all the films are sourced from video tapes (in one instance I'm not even sure if they didn't use a VCD!). One of the films is THE DOG. I compared their DVD with my Greek VHS and there was world of a difference (in favour of the Greek VHS mind you!). The DVD was off a VHS, the picture looked like smeared in Vaseline and there was tape-roll!
But obviously it's a stunt to cash in on the new THE EXPENDABLES and that's fair enough. To include TWO Expendables films they've retitled Umberto Lenzi's Italian film WILD TEAM into THE EXPENDABLES 2: WILD TEAM, haha.
But if there's ONE good thing about the box it's the cover: It's great!! And totally ripped off the Japanese video, haha. Check my entry for WILD TEAM (in the non Filipino section) and you'll see it's the same cover. But if anything I certainly hope they've bootlegged the Japanese VHS as it sports a great letterboxed print.
However, it DOES contain a film I've only seen once on eBay and which I unfortunately lost out on: COBRA MISSION 2! So altho I would prefer that they use REAL prints I certainly hope they're using the Japanese VHS if they're going to go for VHS "prints".
Thanks again for the info, I might do a short update on the box and despite my criticism this WILL be a cheap and easy way to see these films now which, of course, is great. And yes I'm most likely gonna get the box for COBRA MISSION 2.
PS: Hmm, it'll be interesting to see when it's actually being released; CDUniverse says it's gonna come out in 2 days but Amazon says it won't be out till November! :-/
I've just ordered it from eBay - there was no mention of it not being out yet...I hope it IS actually out!! Hopefully, the "2 days time" release date is the right one!
Yeah, VideoAsia are awful - their "Voodoo" bos set, as you said, is truly dreadful - but they do bring out some super rare stuff - Santiago's Expendables is practically impossible to get!
I'll let you know the specs of the films when (If!) my set comes!
I'll grant you that THE EXPENDABLES is difficult to find but not impossible. There's actually two copies on eBay right now (on VHD). Anyhoo, let us know about the DVD when you get it. :D
Telugu Movies pressents you all latest Gossips, pics and more information in it.
