Gung Ho! Another platoon just went into the jungle...

As the description for this blog goes this is the only blog entirely (more or less) on Filipino Vietnam War movies - but now I've got company in the old (cinematic) Vietnam jungle! Over in Sweden the author (who goes under the secret name of Daydreamer) of the Swedish language blog "Historychannel" has set up an English language blog to cover Vietnam War movies. However, Daydreamer tells me that (and in contradiction to this here blog) he's going to cover all kinds of Vietnam war movies from many countries, both low budget and big budget productions. I wish him well on the project. You can check it out here: GUNG HO.

EDIT (Feb. 2012): We're back to being the only Filipino Vietnam War movie blog again. Not that GUNG HO was ever a blog to write solely about Filipino movies but it was close enough. Oh well, the blog author, "Daydreamer", chucked in the fucken towel and called it quits. Too hot in the jungle? I guess we'll never know. LOL. Personally I think it's kinda daft to spend hundreds of hours on writing reviews of films and then delete it all just because you don't wanna write any more! Why not leave it up for future readers to enjoy!?

  2. Karl, that is one helluva an awesome comment on your blog!!! I guess this is the kind of blog that more people just check out than take an actual part in by commenting. So it's definitely cool to hear from someone who enjoys what you do. Thank you so much, mate!!

Yes, we have a comment filter now! It seems most comments these days come from shit spammers in India so there you go.

Bikini girls with machine guns

Yep, this video is from the one they're watching in Tarantino's JACKIE BROWN. It's an awesome video; I mean all it is is a bunch of scantly clad sexy babes with automatic guns going: "This is an AK47" pow pow pow pow - Haha. Absolutely fantastic! xD.
