Another family member returns home

I just won the Greek release of BLACK WARRIORS (1987) (aka Super Platoon). Woo-hoo! I already have the film as such and it's even one of the very few I have on DVD (a REAL legit dvd!) but it'll be nice to get this VHS cos it carries the English dubbed print! The DVD I have is from Germany and altho it does include English subtitles it's also only dubbed in German! Why didn't they just include the English dub as well!?

You can read my review here.

VHS/Greece/fullscreen/English dub/Greek subs

Directed by: Christ Hannah
Starring: Barry Hyman, Kevin Brooks, Sorapong Chatree and Kong Tao.

Onar-Bill's description of the film: SYNOPSIS: 1987 Asian gory sadistic war giant!! THE IMDB IGNORES IT!! CHECK OUT THE TORTURE WITH ACID AND SNAKES!! YECCHHH!!!

  1. It's on legit DVD??!

What title does it go under on the DVD release?

  2. Yes, it's a legit German dvd! And it is fully uncut (I believe the old German vhs was cut). The German title is "Dschungelratten - Part 2: Black Warrior" (in Germany it was released as a sequel to "Jungle Rats" hence the 'part 2' moniker).

You can get it from D&T in Austria. They have two versions, the ordinary release and a ltd with a bigbox case which is the one I got. It's €4 extra for the ltd version. Here's the link for the ltd version, just make a search for the other one when you're on the page. The store has an English option in the right top corner.

  4. No worries. And altho I haven't actually received the vhs yet I'm positive the dvd has a better picture.

By the way, since you're from Norway and thus probably burn down churches on weekends and listen to black metal 24/7 it will probably make your day to know that the ltd version is limited to 666 copies! Haha.
