Congrats to whoever ran off with the Japanse VHS release of COMMANDER (aka The Last American Soldier) yesterday! It was up for auction on a certain Japanese eBay seller's page and I'd kept an eye on it all week. Unfortunately, my 50 dollars wasn't enough. Boo-hoo. Some lucky bastard scooped it up for 51 bucks. Well, you win some, you lose some, LOL. Congrats to whoever you are. I already have the Greek tape but it's fullscreen. As far as I know the Japanese tape is fully letterboxed.

ReplyDeleteThank you for your generous and very, very kind offer but I already have the Greek tape and although it's not letterboxed (like the Japanese version) I think it'll have to do for now. If I ever find the original Japanese tape I'll try and get it but until then I think the FS tape will have to do. But thanks again, and thanks for the films you've already sent me. If I have anything (on PAL) you'd like at some stage then don't hesitate to write me.
