PHANTOM RAIDERS on DVD!

[click scan for full size]

- and by "DVD" I don't mean as in "released by VideoAsia using a video 'master', i.e. a video tape"!! Nah, I'm talking 'bout a real release here. I haven't seen it myself but Jayson (another hardcore VHS collector and film fan!) from the excellent Basement of Ghoulish Decadence blog just mentioned the info about this DVD to me. According to Jayson the print looks like it came from a video master (= real video master, i.e. not "video tape master"!). After I checked the DVD on Amazon.com I also checked to see if they have it on Amazon UK and to my surprise I've just discovered there's ANOTHER dvd release of the film as well. Not a UK dvd but from Germany. It's available from both German and UK Amazon. The German DVD is listed as being uncut and carries both German and English dub, plus it has a trailer. Amazon.com doesn't mention whether there's a trailer on the US dvd. If you go for the German disc it's far cheaper from German Amazon. The US disc is available here.

Thanks to Jayson for this cool piece of news and for scanning the full DVD cover for me! Cheers, mate!

  1. Hi Jack, I'm new to this blog and I've gotta say it looks amazing! Definitely one I'm following. I'm a big fan of bad action movies and these Philo war movies definitely fit that category. I have my own blog at explosiveaction.com where I too review action movies, though I haven't got to a Vietnam war one yet, but after reading some of the gems on your blog I am sure to do so soon! Keep up the good work.

  2. Hey Sutekh!

So good you've found me! LOL. And thanks for the kind words about my wee blog. I just checked your own blog and I see you're in OZ! I actually used to live there on and off from '91-96 due to "near family relations". xD.

Well, if you haven't watched any trashy Vietnam war flicks yet then you've got a lot of fun entertainment ahead of you!

    Thanks again, mate!
