DEADLY TARGET found on Dutch VHS

In October of last year (2010) I posted a scan of a German VHS release of the Filipino film DEADLY TARGET starring Rudy Fernandez. I got the cover scan from my good buddy Kothar over on Cinehound and he informed me that the German dubbed version was the only one available, an English dubbed print simply didn't exist. Well, lo and behold, another Cinehound member has just found another release of the film on DUTCH video! This most likely means it's an English dubbed print!! I've already been speaking to him about a deal so hopefully I'll be able to let you know on the details of the dub soon. I sent the scan to Andrew Leavold who reposted it here with more credits plus dug out the original title: LABAN KUNG LABAN.

  2. Hey there, unknown,
That's very cool info, thanks! Until last week when I found out about the Dutch VHS I thought there was only the German dubbed tape (which was the info I had been given). Hopefully I'll get the Dutch tape soon.

  3. I couldn't find an email address anywhere on the site, but just want to tell you about an upcoming documentary about filipino genre films... (link above, so this wouldn't be countered as spam)

  4. Hi there, Mighty Peking Man!

Thank you very much for the info and link. I appreciate that. :-)

Altho I haven't mentioned it on this blog I was aware of the film and have written about the upcoming Australian DVD on my other blog (the Aussie release is going to be a 2-disc release, the reg. 1 disc will just one disc). The film is actually what is left of Andrew Leavold's planned "The Search for Weng Weng" documentary film which sadly never got finished.
