  1. Finally got to see this and WOW, what a great cast and a graet movie!

It walks a fine line between nutty actioner and serious, anti-war flick, and, I think, pulls it off.

And damn, Enzo Castellari looks just like John Saxon in this!

BTW, there are 2 scenes here that are clearly "homaged" by Tarantino in his Inglorious Basterds - check it out and you'll see what I mean!

  2. Hey Karlos,
That definitely sounds cool! I haven't watched my tape yet but I will soon. And I'll be sure to look out for Quentin's homage scenes when I get hold of Inglorious! Cheers. :D

  4. Just picked up the Australian PAL VHS for a few bucks on eBay. Hasn't arrived yet but I'm sure it will be full screen. Here's the cover: http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/6185/downloadhz.jpg

  5. Cool, and for a few bucks it's not like you'd double dip in a big way if you later found it on a Japanese tape. :D

I received a VHS of HELL SQUAD from the US today. If it's anything like the trailer suggests then I'm in for a MULTO entertaining 90 minutes!! LOL.

  6. Got my Cobra Mission aussie VHS today. This tape is brand new! Clamshell case still has the quality seal sticker on it! Flawless with no rental stickers or anything. It's on the Showcase label.

Just popped it in the VCR - it has a super rare trailer for Hands of Steel (the Jap VHS of which turned up today as well, LOL). The movie is fullscreen. The opening credits look like they were vertically stretched from widescreen as everyone is tall, then it returns to a pan&scan presentation.

  7. New? Very cool! Is that trailer different to this one from a Danish ex-rental tape?

  8. Pretty sure it's the exact same trailer, it's even framed the same. Mine just does not have the subtitles. I will be uploading it to youtube tomorrow.
