Kothar over on Cinehound pointed out to me that THE STICK - which I bought a few days ago on Japanese VHS and about which someone in a review mentioned is not released at all on VHS or DVD - well now it turns out there's both video releases in Germany and Holland as well! The German tape (and possibly the Dutch too) is retitled Platoon Warrior (which I'm sure could cause confusion among collectors as there's also a HK/Filipino film entitled PLATOON WARRIORS (with an added plural S). Thanks to Kothar and KindOfB for the info. According to the German film base OFDb both versions are uncut (but needless to say the German tape is dubbed in the Queen's German).
