MISSION INFERNO (Korea, 1984)

Incredibly boring Korean war movie (from Joseph Lai). On very, very rare Danish sell-thru. Fullscreen & dubbed in English. A few years ago I bought a copy of the Indo war movie DAREDEVIL COMMANDO (starring Barry Prima) only to discover this turkey was inside the case! :-/
Trust me, this film is so boring I'd rather break off an arm and drink my own blood than have to watch it again!
Fortunately, I later found the real DAREDEVIL COMMANDO tape!

  1. Jack, Mission Inferno IS NOT a Godfrey Ho movie, it is just a korean war movie that was bought by Joseph Lai for its release in the international video markets. Godfrey Ho only supervised the english dialogs from the original source & the edition work.

There are another similar titles like Xylem of Cannonade, Sky Crusaders...etc
They are korean productions that tried to imitate those japanese war movies about WW2.

  2. Thanks, JM! Like I said, I got that piece of info from a French site (or actually TWO French sites) and obviously they didn't know what they were talking about (well, neither was I, haha). Thanks, I'll correct it.

  4. The war scenes are taken from Seol Bong's 1977 "The Last Days of Dosol Mountain" (http://www.kmdb.or.kr/eng/vod/vod_basic.asp?nation=K&p_dataid=03190), while the action segment comes from Lee Hyeok-su's 1981: "Kim Du-han and Lot 1 of Seodaemun" (http://www.kmdb.or.kr/eng/vod/vod_basic.asp?nation=K&p_dataid=03554) A handful of shots was also lifted from "Guns of Victory".
