THE EXECUTIONER, PART 2 - Dutch VHS

VHS / Holland

Check out this cool cover for THE EXECUTIONER, PART 2 from Dutch VHS! Veeery nice! I won it last night from an auction on Cinehound held by a member in Holland. It'll be interesting to see if this version has the two scenes which I'm told were cut out of the UK VHS. Thanks to the CH member for the scan.

  1. They are some groovy covers! This was released over in OZ in two versions, one by Box Office International with an cool cartoon cover and one by CBL that has pictures of First Blood on the back and is missing about 6 minutes of footage!

  2. It IS a nice cover and that's also why it hurts me extra to think about the fact that I never received the tape! Boo-hoo. The shipping company fucked up and I never got it.

As mentioned in the post I do have the UK VHS so that's alright. I'd love to see a fully uncut version some day tho. I'm told the UK tape has two brief cuts. Nothing like 6 minutes tho. Outch!

Do you have the Box Office Int. version on your blog?

Its been so long since i have seen these but from memory the opening Vietnam battle is shortened by about 3 minutes in the CBL tape, also there is extra narration at the end in the Box Office version. Im not sure how the Box Office version compares to the UK one but ill do a timing soon and let you know the running time.
